Nostalgia and whimsical modernity inspired, BONBONWHIMS® is an award-winning, AAPI-owned jewelry and accessories brand based in New York City. Known for our signature Y2K aesthetic, we create “wearable whimsies” through a playful mix of acrylic, enamel, metals and gemstones, blending nostalgic charm with vibrant color and a playful spirit.

Beloved by celebrities and It-girls alike, BONBONWHIMS® designs have been worn by Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Zara Larsson and Gigi Hadid, amongst others. We have been featured in Vogue and The New York Times, as well as on the TODAY Show, earning recognition for our distinctive take on the early aughts.

Founded by Clare Ngai-Howard, BONBONWHIMS began as a pandemic passion project in 2021 and a platform to support BIPOC communities. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Clare draws inspiration from the colorful world of her childhood, such as colorful trinkets, miniature toys and trading card machines she often visited with friends after school. These early memories continue to shape the brand’s creative identity, reflected in its candy-colored palette and nostalgic motifs.
